WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Nov. 1) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team welcomed Allegheny College to the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) senior day home match. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to the Gators.
Allegheny (7-7, 13-12) reached the .500 mark in conference play by defeating the Jackets (2-23, 0-14) 25-18, 25-12, 30-28.
Offensively, junior
Kristina Zadrozny (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny) led the Yellow Jackets with a match-high 10 kills. Senior
Riley Ruffley (Bedford, Pa. / Bedford) put forth a final productive day on her home court with a match-high 20 assists and a contest-best five aces.
On the defensive side of the ball, senior
Paige Mortimore (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Brentwood) collected eight digs, while freshman
Madison Zeroski (Cadiz, Ohio / Harrison Central) added two blocks. Junior
Audrey Work (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Baldwin) chipped in two stuffs of her own.
Waynesburg will head on the road on Wednesday, Nov. 5, for another conference match against Saint Vincent. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
