ON WAYNESBURG
The Yellow Jackets were downed 48-14 by No. 25 John Carroll in Waynesburg's home opener. The Blue Streaks scored touchdowns on their first five drives of the game and notched two safeties to lead 38-0 at halftime. Waynesburg outscored JCU 14-10 in the second half with fumble recoveries setting up touchdowns. Nine different Jackets had a reception, four notched rushing attempts and two attempted passes in week one.

ON DICKINSON
Dickinson opened its season at No. 21 Randolph-Macon and were defeated by the Yellow Jackets 48-34. After a scoreless opening quarter, RMC scored three second quarter touchdowns to lead 28-7 at halftime. The Yellow Jackets led 41-14 entering the fourth quarter before the Red Devils scored three touchdowns to bring the final margin to 14 points. Randolph-Macon took advantage of five Dickinson turnovers and rushed for 318 yards and four touchdowns.

RICHMOND READY
Junior wide receiver Tyler Richmond opened 2025 with two catches for 77 yards and a touchdown against John Carroll, highlighted by a 61-yard scoring strike from Thomas Burke III in the third quarter. He also had a 39-yard reception erased by penalty. Richmond earned All-PAC Honorable Mention last fall after ranking third in the league with 20.6 yards per reception on 22 catches for 454 yards and three scores.

POINTS OFF TURNOVERS
Both of Waynesburg's touchdowns against John Carroll came after fumble recoveries by the Jacket defense. A second-quarter recovery at the WU 35 set up a 61-yard touchdown pass from Thomas Burke III to Tyler Richmond. In the third quarter, freshman linebacker Dailon Curry fell on a bad snap at the JCU 45, leading to an eight-play, 57-yard drive finished by Mutwali Stewart's two-yard scoring run. Under third-year defensive coordinator David Arnold, Waynesburg's defense continues to build on its turnover production after generating 16 takeaways last fall, including five multi-turnover games.

WEEK TWO WINNERS?
Waynesburg is looking for its first Week Two win since 2014, a 35–24 victory over Saint Vincent. Since then, the Jackets have dropped 10 straight in Week Two, a run that includes five meetings with Westminster. The stretch has featured some close calls, including a 28–21 setback at Saint Vincent in 2015 and a 43–27 contest with Grove City in 2023, as well as higher-scoring showings such as back-to-back 30-point outings against Case Western in 2021 and 2022. Saturday's trip to Dickinson marks the program's first Week Two opponent outside the PAC since 2014, giving Waynesburg a fresh opportunity to snap the streak.

SCOUTING DICKINSON
The Red Devils racked up 427 total yards, as quarterback Ben Klassen threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns. Keesean Campbell provided a 65-yard rushing touchdown, while Kellen Boyer, Frederik Fjeldseth and Leon Friebel all caught TD passes. Defensively, linebacker Valdemar Enghave posted a game-high 11 tackles and Juan Pablo Garcia added 10 stops. Dickinson is led by head coach Brad Fordyce, now in his ninth season at the helm in Carlisle.
