WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 12) – Recent Waynesburg University graduate forward Antone Baker ('25) (Maple Heights, Ohio / Maple Heights) has signed a professional contract to continue his basketball career overseas with BC Delikatesas in Joniskis, Lithuania. Delikatesas competes in the country's Nostra.lt Regional Basketball League A Division, Lithuania's third-tier league.

Baker wrapped up a decorated career with the Yellow Jackets this past winter. He was tabbed All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Second Team in 2024-25 after earning All-PAC First Team honors and the league's Defensive Player of the Year award in 2023-24. He is the first player in program history to be named PAC Defensive Player of the Year and the first Jacket to collect multiple All-PAC selections since 2022.

"I am extremely proud of Antone achieving his goal of obtaining an overseas contract," said head men's basketball coach Tim Fusina. "It is a testament to his dedication and perseverance that he displayed in his five years as a member of our program.  He continues to do great things and we could not be more proud of his accomplishments."

Last season, Baker started all 23 games and averaged 16.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. He led the PAC in rebounding and offensive rebounding, ranked third in scoring, and placed sixth in steals per contest. Baker ranked eighth nationally in offensive rebounding (4.26 per game) and 21st in total rebounding.

He finished his Jacket career as the 36th 1,000-point scorer in program history, reaching the milestone in an overtime win over Franciscan on Jan. 8. Baker posted 19 double-digit scoring performances in 2024-25, including seven 20-point games and eight double-doubles.

In 2023-24, Baker averaged 17.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.9 blocks per game. He paced the PAC in blocked shots (49) and field goal percentage (56.1 percent), while ranking third in scoring. He recorded 13 20-point games, nine double-doubles and a career-high 30 points against Allegheny.

A 2025 Waynesburg University graduate with a degree in business administration, Baker established himself as one of the top two-way players in the PAC. He departs Waynesburg as a premier defender, rebounder and scorer and now takes his talents to the professional level.
