TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sep. 22) – Freshman defensive back
Marcus Crum Jr. (Warren, Ohio / Warren G. Harding) had a day (and night) to remember during Waynesburg's 35-27 President's Athletic Conference (PAC) win over Hiram on Saturday. His noteworthy efforts not only played a major role in the Yellow Jacket victory, but also earned him the latest PAC Newcomer of the Week award on Monday.
Crum recorded his first two collegiate interceptions, the second of which came with the Terriers driving for a potential game-tying score late in the fourth quarter. The first-year standout stepped in front of a pass in the endzone with just seconds showing on the fourth quarter clock to give the ball back to his offense to run out the final three seconds of the contest.
Crum's first pick of the contest was recorded with just under three minutes remaining in the first half. He added three tackles, one of which was a solo stop, and half a tackle for loss. Crum enters week three of the 2025 season tied for the conference lead in interceptions.
