Waynesburg men wrap up 2025-26 season at Washington & Jefferson

Yellow Jackets drop road PAC contest to Presidents

WASHINGTON, Pa. (Feb. 21) – The Waynesburg University men's basketball team traveled to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday for its 2025-26 season finale. The Yellow Jackets fell 93-65 to the host Presidents.

Waynesburg (7-20, 3-12) and W&J (19-6, 12-4) battled back-and-forth over the first five-plus minutes. A three pointer by senior Casey Keesee (Tipp City, Ohio / Bethel) put the visitors ahead 8-7. Unfortunately, the Jacket offense struggled to maintain its rhythm while the Presidents went on a 17-0 run that put them ahead 24-8 with 11:07 showing on the clock.

The Yellow Jackets fought back with a 16-3 offensive explosion to cut their deficit down to just three (27-24) with 7:31 left to play in the half. Unfortunately, momentum swung back to the Presidents, who closed the half on a 23-10 run and led 50-34 at halftime.

The home team emerged from its locker room and opened the second period with a 19-8 run to jump ahead 69-42. The Yellow Jackets answered by scoring eight of the next 10 points, with senior guard Jalen Goins (Morgantown, W.Va. / Morgantown) tallying five of those eight points.

However, the Presidents continued to answer the Waynesburg rallies and earn a senior day win.

Sophomore forward Brady Anderson (Gay, W.Va. / George Washington) and senior guard Scott Bilovus (Imperial, Pa. / West Allegheny) led the Yellow Jackets with 11 points each. Goins chipped in 10, while Keesee and junior Jackson Rhodes (Christchurch, New Zealand / St. Andrews College) tallied eight each.

Senior Grant Barnhart (St. Mary's, W.Va. / St. Mary's) tied for the game lead with eight rebounds.
