WASHINGTON, Pa. (Feb. 21) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team wrapped up the 2025-26 schedule with a trip to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Presidents by the final score of 100-63.
W&J (19-6, 14-2) blew the game open early by outscoring Waynesburg (12-13, 8-8) 42-14 in the first quarter. The Jackets trailed 58-28 at halftime before the home team erased any doubt by besting the Orange and Black 24-16 in the third quarter.
Senior
Kalista Friday (Woodsfield, Ohio / Monroe Central) concluded a stellar Jacket career by scoring a team-high 16 points. She also led Waynesburg in steals (3) and assists (5) on the day, while finishing second on the squad with seven rebounds. Her five helpers put her over on the season (102).
Senior
Clara-Paige Miller (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) also put together a fine effort during her final game in a Yellow Jacket uniform. She shot 6-of-9 from the floor for 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Junior
Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) paced the Jackets with nine rebounds and just missed a double-double after scoring 10 points.
