ADA, Ohio (Feb. 28) – The Waynesburg University men's wrestling team wrapped up the 2025-26 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Region 4 Championships at Ohio Northern University. Junior Jessie Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) competed in day two of the event and finished seventh at 174 pounds.
 
Orbin needed three-straight wins to advance to the national championship tournament and started his day against Averett's Michael Gabbard. Points were tough to come by and each grappler had picked up an escape as they battled in the third period. Unfortunately, a second stall call against Orbin in the third provided the match-winning point in a 2-1 decision that dropped the Jacket standout into the seventh-place match.
 
His opponent, Otterbein's Logan Cormell, forfeited the placement match.
 
Orbin ends the season 32-4 overall, giving him 30-plus wins in each of his first three seasons at Waynesburg.
