WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Feb. 3) – The Waynesburg University football team is excited to announce its 2026 schedule. The upcoming slate of games features six at John F. Wiley Stadium and a pair of non-conference opponents that the Yellow Jackets haven't seen this century.
Waynesburg lifts the lid on its 122
nd season on Saturday, Sept. 5, with its home opener against Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) member Capital. The Jackets will face the Comets for the first time since 1988.
The Orange and Black is back home in week two with its second non-conference game of the season, this one coming against Ursinus. The Jackets last faced the Bears in 1999 and it will be just the third-ever meeting.
Waynesburg makes its first trip away from Wiley Stadium when it faces fellow Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) member Allegheny for a non-conference matchup in Meadville.
The Jackets open PAC play with back-to-back home games against Westminster and Saint Vincent on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3, respectively. Waynesburg is back on the road with a trip to Case Western Reserve on Oct. 17 following the team's bye week.
Oct. 24 features the team's penultimate home contest against Grove City, before a Halloween road trip to Hiram to take on the Terriers.
The team's final road game comes on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Geneva, before the regular season wraps up on Saturday, Nov. 14, against Bethany.
This upcoming fall features six regular season games for the first time since 2014.
Waynesburg will be in its first season under the leadership of new head coach Larry Wilson. Kickoff times will be announced in the near future.
