A former four-year starter at second base for the Yellow Jackets, Brian Gerginski is in his second season as a graduate assistant with the baseball program. Gerginski will supervise the recruiting aspects of the program and help coach the infielders.
During his career, he made 139 starts, hitting .292 with six homers and 87 RBI at Waynesburg. As a freshman in 2003, he hit .316 with 25 RBI and 24 runs in helping the Yellow Jackets earn a post-season berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament.
Gerginski’s best power showing came as a junior, when he hit .317 with four homers and 25 RBI in 32 games. He finished his collegiate career in 2006 with a .315 average with a pair of homers, 20 RBI and 27 runs in 35 starts.
A native of Wexford, Pa., and graduate of North Allegheny High School, Gerginski earned his undergraduate degree in Communication from Waynesburg in 2006. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration from the University.
