Kevin Pincavitch

Kevin Pincavitch joined the Waynesburg University baseball squad prior to the 2021-22 school year and brought an impressive resume of collegiate and professional playing experience, as well as more than 20 years in the high school coaching ranks.

Over 24 years, Pincavitch served as pitching coach for the Mapletown High School baseball program and head baseball coach at Waynesburg Central High School. His coaching work also includes time as the pitching coach for the Mapletown softball team.

Pincavitch was a four-year standout at California University of Pennsylvania (1988-1992), where he was a two-year all-conference honoree and a team captain as a senior. Following his time with the Vulcans, Pincavitch began a 10-year professional baseball career that included six years in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, as well as four years in the independent baseball ranks. Over that decade, he made five all-star teams and played for three championship squads.

By the time he hung up his cleats as a professional baseball player, Pincavitch had tallied a record of 63-57 with 981strikeouts and a 3.67 career ERA. He also reached the international level when he played for Team USA in the 1999 International Cup.

Along with his extensive high school coaching resume, Pincavitch has served as pitching coach for the Adirondack Lumberjacks, who later became the Bangor Lumberjacks, as well as the Washington Wild Things.

Prior to his time at Cal, Pincavitch was a three-sport standout at Mapletown, where he spent four years with the Maple baseball team, three with the basketball team and two with the football team.

Pincavitch is married to Jami (Diamond) Pincavitch, who is a 1994 Waynesburg University graduate. She was a two-sport athlete for the Yellow Jackets, spending two years with the tennis team and four with the softball team. The couple has two sons: Trevor and Hudson.
