Jay Hawk became a part of the first Waynesburg University Esports coaching staff in 2022. He serves as the lead coach for Overwatch and the secondary coach Super Smash Bros. Hawk is an experienced and accomplished Overwatch competitor, having played the game since season one. During season two, he came one game shy of reaching the GM/Top 500 Players list and has ranked as high as Pharah #48 on PC. He is also an experienced shot caller within his own gaming group.

When he’s not working with the Waynesburg Esports program, Hawk works in Waynesburg’s Department of Communication as its Video Production Services Technician. His professional experiences include stops at Penn State University, Point Park University, FedEx and more.

Hawk sees his coaching position with Waynesburg Esports as a tremendous opportunity to connect with all students across campus. He personally boasts a game library of over 600 titles.
