David “DL” Knock arrived at Waynesburg prior to the 2020-21 season following a decorated playing career at NCAA Division I Ohio University. After playing 44 games over four years for the Bobcats, Knock will work primarily with the Yellow Jacket linebackers.
Knock was a three-year letterman at Ohio and was honored as third-team All-MAC kickoff return specialist in 2019. The Springboro, Ohio, native tallied 31.0 total tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also made an impact offensively with 10 catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns, as well as six carries for 11 more yards.
Knock graduated from Ohio with a degree in Entrepreneurship in Construction and Project Management.
Prior to his collegiate experience, Knock was three-year letterman at Springboro High School. He was lauded as a 2014 AP second-team All-Ohio pick as a senior and graduated in 2015.
