Jared Plisko, a former all-conference fullback at Waynesburg, enters his eighth year on the Waynesburg staff and his second in charge of quality control. Prior to this year he served as the Yellow Jackets’ running backs coach for six years and head junior varÂsity coach in 2010.

After coaching the dynamic running back duo of Ryan Abels and Eric Daniels from 2004-2006, Plisko worked with another record-setting back during 2007 in Robert Heller. With help from Plisko, Heller rewrote the Yellow Jacket rushing record book and received national notoriety following a camÂpaign that saw the Monongahela, Pa. naÂtive rush for 2,176 yards and 26 touchdowns.

A 2005 graduate of Waynesburg, Plisko was a four-year letterman and starter for the Yellow Jackets. He served as the lead blocker for both Abels and Daniels, who combined for 1,707 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns, throughout the 2003 PAC championship season.

That season, Plisko was a first-team all-conference selection at h-back/tight end and earned the Wiley Award, which is givÂen to the player that most personifies Yellow Jacket football through character, leaderÂship, citizenship and accountability.

As a junior in 2002, Plisko led WaynesÂburg in rushing and grabbed a career-best 32 receptions to earn honorable mention from the conference. He ranks among the school leaders in career receptions with 73 catches.

Plisko, a native of Hibbs, Pa., earned all-conference and all-county honors while playing for Albert Gallatin High School. He currently resides in Clarksville, Pa. with his wife Alicia.
