Maria Shepas, who is also the head coach of the Yellow Jacket women's lacrosse team, begins her second season as a graduate assistant on her father's staff in 2014. She is heavily involved in both the planning and executing of the team's strength and conditioning program.
Prior to graduating from Waynesburg University with a bachelor's degree in Biology, which included a minor in Exercise Science, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2012, Shepas earned her high school diploma from Waynesburg Central High School. The Youngstown, Ohio native was also a three-year standout on the Jacket women's lacrosse team. During that stretch of time, she recorded nearly every major offensive team record.
