After wrapping up a very successful playing career with the Yellow Jackets, Ryan Williams traded in his helmet for a coach's headset in 2012. This fall he is working with the team's strength and conditioning program.

During his senior season of 2011, Williams led the Jackets with 83 total tackles, 49 of which were solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, an interception and three pass breakups. Those numbers were good enough to earn him second-team All-PAC laurels. He also spent time as a Jacket quarterback before moving to the defensive side of the ball, was an honorable mention all-conference honoree as a junior and was a multi-year member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll. Williams was also selected as a member of the 2011 Capital One/CoSIDA Division III Academic All-District Team.

Williams is a native of Columbiana, Ohio, and a graduate of Columbiana High School.
