Zack Windsor joined the Waynesburg University football coaching staff prior to the 2022 campaign. After serving that season as the Offensive Quality Control Coach, he became a Graduate Assistant working with the team’s Wide Receivers.

Windsor brought three years of college sideline experience with him to the Yellow Jackets, two of which were spent as a student recruiting assistant at West Virginia University. He also logged a season as an equipment manager at Fairmont State University.

Windsor graduated from WVU in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Coaching and Performance Sciences with an Emphasis in Applied Sport Sciences. He also double minored in Sport & Exercise Psychology and Strength & Conditioning.

Windsor has proudly served his country as a West Virginia Army National Guard 68W Combat Medic since August 2019. His training included 10 weeks of basic combat training during which he learned life skills such as teamwork, discipline, stress management, confidence, leadership, and attention to detail. Followed by Combat Medic Specialist School a 16-week course to receive my National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Certification- Studied airway management, medical emergencies, traumas, and advanced in-battle pre-hospital trauma training.

From August 2020 to May 2024, Windsor has been tasked to a Calvary Unit in West Virginia. He, along with 20 other medics, treated and assisted more than 500 soldiers.
In May of 2024, Windsor was promoted to Sergeant and was transferred into an Aviation unit helping give physicals to pilots and flight crew members of over 3 units.
