Mike Fatigante enters his third season as Mark Christner’s assistant coach and will be involved in a myriad of responsibilities, including video exchange, player development and recruiting. He comes to Waynesburg from McGuffey High School, which is located less than hour away in Washington County.
He was an assistant on the Highlander baseball team and is also a physical education teacher at McGuffey, as well as the junior varsity golf coach.
Fatigante is a 2008 graduate of Mt. Union College, which is also the alma mater of Waynesburg head women’s basketball coach Sam Jones. While at Mt. Union, Fatigante was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team, a two-year letterman and a team captain. He also earned the distinction of First-Team Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and graduated from Mt. Union with a degree in health/physical education.
Fatigante is a native of Pittsburgh and is a 2004 graduate of Avonworth High School, where he was a four-year member of the basketball team and a three-year member of the baseball team.
He isn’t the only member of his family on campus either. His younger brother, Tyler, a senior, was a four-year member of the Yellow Jacket football team.
