Sarah Arsenault is in her third season as an assistant coach with the Waynesburg women’s soccer team after spending the previous two years with Hamilton College in New York. She has also served as an assistant with the men's soccer team during her time with the Yellow Jacket kickers.
Prior to coming to Waynesburg, Arsenault helped lead the Continentals to a combined record of 17-10-3 and a spot in the Liberty League Conference Tournament finals in 2009.
Prior to heading to the Empire State, Arsenault was head women’s soccer coach at Division II Salem International University in West Virginia during the 2007-08 school year.
Her work with the Yellow Jackets will be Arsenault’s second foray into Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) soccer, as she also served as an assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson in 2006. Arsenault got her first coaching gig as a student assistant at Slippery Rock University, her alma mater, in 2005. That year, The Rock won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) women’s title.
Arsenault graduated from SRU in 2006 with a degree in sports management and was a standout player for The Rock. She was a four-time first-team All-PSAC selection, the 2001 PSAC Rookie of the Year, two-time conference player of the year, a three-time NSCAA All-Region selection and a 2003 NSCAA first-team All-American. She was also a team captain for three-straight years and her 73 career goals are the most in the history of the SRU program. Arsenault was also a member of Slippery Rock’s 2003 PSAC championship team.
Arsenault is a native of Rome, N.Y. and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 2001.
