Matt Tedrow

Matt Tedrow began his collegiate coaching career with the 2019 Waynesburg University softball team. Before arriving on campus, he built his coaching resume in the high school and travel ranks.

Prior to his time with the Yellow Jackets, the Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania, native served a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Waynesburg Central High School, where he helped the Raiders to WPIAL playoff appearances in each of those seasons. The 2018 WCHS squad advanced to the quarterfinal round.
 
Tedrow also ran the Revolution Fast Pitch travel organization from 2014 to 2018 and worked with squads competing in the 14-and-under, 16-and-under and 18-and-under divisions. His 2014 14U squad earned a top-10 finish at the ASA Eastern Regional Championships. The 2015 14U squad followed that up with a Class A West Virginia state title and a top-40 showing out of 185 teams at the North American All Sanctions World Series.

Teams under Tedrow’s leadership put together a combined record of 104-78-5.

Tedrow is a 1995 graduate of West Greene High School, where he was a four-year starter and letterman for the Pioneer baseball team. He played a major role in getting West Greene to its first WPIAL playoff appearance in school history during the spring of 1993.
 
Tedrow went on to attend Slippery Rock University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 1999. He has a son, Kameron.
