Ellen Hildebrand enters her fourth season on the Waynesburg University women’s basketball coaching staff. Prior to her work with the Yellow Jackets, Hildebrand served a combined nine seasons as a head or assistant coach in Greene County. She was an assistant coach at Waynesburg Central for three years and was the head coach at West Greene Senior Middle High School for two seasons.
Hildebrand, a native of Ingram, Pa., graduated from Robert Morris University with a degree in Business Administration. While at RMU, she was a three-year starter and captain on the basketball team. In her junior year, she helped guide the Colonials to a 20-8 record. During that season, the Colonials tied for the conference title and earned a berth in the eastern regional post-season tournament.
While a student at Montour High School, Hildebrand lettered in basketball, softball and cross country. On the basketball court, she earned all-section honors and was a member of the Colt Classic West team, which won the Colt Classic Championship. In the East/West All-State Game, Hildebrand scored over 20 points to earn Most Valuable Player honors.
Hildebrand resides with her husband Jon in Morgan Twp., in Greene County with their three children: Zach, Mariah and Rachel.
Hildebrand recently completed her master’s degree in business administration from Waynesburg University.
