Matt Pioch is in his fourth season on the bench with the Waynesburg women's basketball team. Elsewhere on campus, he currently serves as Assistant Dean of Student Services
Prior to his arrival at Waynesburg, Pioch graduated from Lakeland College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Youth Ministry in 2012 before going on to obtain his Master of Arts degree in Religion at Olivet Nazarene University in 2015. Pioch also played one season of basketball at Lakeland before injuries ended his playing career.
Pioch graduated from Mundelein High School in Mundelein, Illinois, in 2008. He was part of a team that won a regional championship in IHSA 4A basketball in 2007. The school also renamed its Hard Work Award to the Matt Pioch Award after he won it two consecutive years.
