Bre Tyler went from player to coach for the Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team when she joined head coach Stephanie Benkowski's staff in 2016. Tyler played four years for the Yellow Jackets, both as a field player and a goalkeeper.
The West Newton, Pennsylvania, native tallied 13 collegiate points on eight goals and five assists while playing 48 games for the Yellow Jackets. She also spent limited in time in net as one of the team's reserve keepers.
Prior to coming to Waynesburg in 2011, Tyler was a team captain at Yough High School. She was also a member of the volleyball and basketball teams and was an honor roll student.
She graduated from Waynesburg in the spring of 2015 after earning her nursing degree.
