Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets
London, Steph 2022

Steph London

Steph London took over the reins of the Waynesburg University women's lacrosse program prior to the 2023 campaign and proceeded to post the most wins in a season since the Jackets' five-win 2015 campaign.

Under London’s watch, freshman midfielder Waverly Lorne claimed NCAA statistical titles in ground balls and caused turnovers with 6.65 ground balls per game and 6.47 caused turnovers per contest. She set DIII records in caused turnovers and caused turnovers per game. Lorne set the Jackets’ single-season records in ground balls and caused turnovers and the Waynesburg career record in caused turnovers in just her freshman season. Lorne was a three-time Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week and collected All-PAC Honorable Mention honors.

She is no stranger to what it takes to build a winning program thanks to her four years at NCAA Division II national powerhouse West Chester University in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She was a part of four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship squads that also advanced to four national title games during her time with the Golden Rams.

On the field, London tallied 30 goals, six assists and 19 ground balls. She was an even bigger star in the classroom, where she was a three-year member of the Athletic Directors Academic Honor Roll (2003, 05, 06).

London graduated from West Chester in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Studies with minors in Nutrition and Secondary Education. She continued her education at Harrisburg Area Community College, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Health Care Management. Most recently, she completed a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Prior to her collegiate career, London was a four-year (2000-03) standout in both women's lacrosse and women's field hockey at Coatesville (Pa.) High School. Her playing days with the Red Raiders were highlight by her selection as an All-Ches-Mont League women's lacrosse player. She was also a 2001 participant in the World Scholar-Athlete Games at the University of Rhode Island.

Coach London's athletic background includes working with girl’s lacrosse players at various camps, clinics and tournaments at United Sports in Chester County during her years as a middle school, high school and collegiate player.

London’s husband, Sam, spent three seasons as a member of the Yellow Jacket football coaching staff and now coaches at PAC member Saint Vincent.Â
