Jim Rue enters his fifth season at the helm of the Waynesburg women’s soccer program. In 2007, the Yellow Jackets put together a 7-9-2 overall mark, highlighted by a four-game winning streak in early and mid-September. Waynesburg went 2-4-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference last year.

In his first season at Waynesburg, he guided the Yellow Jackets to as many wins as the program had its previous two seasons combined.

Prior to his time at Waynesburg, Rue last coached at Washington & Jefferson College as an assistant with the men’s team from 1999-2002, where he conducted field training for goalkeepers and helped plan practice session and provided game analysis. Leading up to and during his tenure at W&J, Rue coached the Victory Express soccer club team from 1995-2001.

The majority of Rue’s coaching experience was with Ringgold High School, located in his hometown of Monongahela, Pa. During an 11 run as head varsity coach, he posted a record of 137-56-16 with no losing seasons and two section championships in 1990 and 1991. His 1994 team was a state semifinalist and overall Ringgold qualified for the District playoffs six times under Rue.

A 1969 graduate of California University (Pa.), Rue is a public school speech pathologist employed by Intermediate Unit 1. He has his bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from Cal before earning his master’s in Speech Communication in 1980.
