Pedro Sanvicente begins his second year on the Waynesburg University women’s soccer staff in 2008. Prior to joining the Yellow Jackets, he spent three years in the high school ranks.
Sanvicente, a native of Valladolid, Spain, coached two years at nearby Waynesburg Central, both as an assistant and head coach. In 2006, he worked as an assistant at Musselman High School in Inwood, W.Va.
He has also coached players ranging in age from six-and-under to 18 for in-house and travel teams for the Greene County Youth Soccer Association since 2002.
He has earned degrees from both University of Valladolid in Spain (2000), where he received an MA in english, and West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. (2002), where he earned an MA in foreign languages: Peninsular Spanish.. He graduated from Seminario Menor in 1995 and has played soccer in both Spain and Scotland.
Sanvicente is married and lives in Waynesburg with his wife and two children, Olivia and Olivier-Nicolas.
