Kate McCullough arrived at Waynesburg University in 2018 as assistant coach with the Waynesburg University volleyball team. She was the first assistant hired by head coach Hayley Kirby, who also made her debut with the Jackets in 2018.Â
McCullough brought years of high school experience with her to the job, including two years as the head coach at Uniontown, (2014, 2015) a year as an assistant coach at Franklin Regional (2012) and two years at West Shamokin (2010, 2011).Â
She began her coaching career after earning degrees from Penn State (History, 2007) and Chatham (Secondary Education, 2009) universities.Â
McCullough played four years at West Shamokin High School (1999-2002) before graduating in 2003.Â
