Drew Headlee enters his third season on his father's staff after completing a standout collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh.
While with the Panthers, Headlee, who is the oldest son of head coach Ron Headlee, was a four-year letter-winner at Pitt, a three-time captain, a two-time Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Conference champion and a 2005 NCAA Division I All-American.
Headlee graduated from Pittsburgh with a degree in architectural studies.
Prior to his collegiate success, Headlee starred at Waynesburg Central High School as a four-year letterman and a three-year captain. In 2002, under the guidance of then-head coach John Yates, Headlee captured the 112-pound Class AAA PIAA state championship.
Headlee’s wrestling career is far from over, as he is currently training to make a run at a spot on the U.S. National Wrestling Team for the 2012 Olympics.
He currently resides in Waynesburg.
