Waynesburg University Athletics

Jeff Havelka is in his second year with the Waynesburg wrestling team as a graduate assistant coach following his time as a standout student-athlete at the University of Findlay (Ohio).

During his time with the Oilers, Havelka was a two-time NCAA Division II national qualifier, most recently at 184 pounds in 2010, a four-year letter-winner and a two-time captain. He also excelled in the class room and was a three-time NCAA Academic All-American.

Havelka earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education this past spring from the University of Findlay and he is currently working towards a master’s degree in Special Education.

Before heading to Findlay, Havelka was a excellent wrestler at Burgettstown High School. During his time with the Blue Devils, he racked up 119 wins and qualified for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) championships.

He currently resides in Waynesburg.
