Jaylin Kennedy comes to Waynesburg after spending two years at NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan (2023 and 2024). He will work closely with the Yellow Jacket defensive backs and will also serve as special teams coordinator.

During his time at Wesleyan, Kennedy served as defensive pass game coordinator, defensive backs coach and video coordinator. Prior to his time with the Bobcats, Kennedy worked the sidelines of his alma mater, Portsmouth (Ohio) High School from 2018 to 2021. He served as co-defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach and running backs coach for the Trojans.

Kennedy made his collegiate coaching debut over two years at Wilmington College (2016 and 2017), where he worked as the defensive backs coach and video coordinator for the Quakers. Two years earlier, he made his coaching debut at Westerville (Ohio) South High School, where he served as defensive backs coach.

Kennedy is a 2015 graduate of Otterbein University, where he earned a degree in Broadcasting. He was also a four-year member of the Cardinal football team.
