Kara Sapp Sontag ('18) returned to Waynesburg as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2024.
Sontag was a four-year member of the Waynesburg University volleyball team and graduated from WU with a degree in athletic training in 2018.
Sontag served as a graduate assistant at Life University (Ga.) and graduated with a Master's of Health Science in Sports Injury Management in 2020. She was the primary athletic trainer for the Running Eagles women's basketball, women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's volleyball teams.
For the last four years prior to returning to Waynesburg, Sontag served as the primary athletic trainer at Banneker High School in Atlanta. She supervised 16 varsity teams and eight junior varsity squadsÂ
