Tyler Cote joined the Waynesburg University baseball staff for the 2026 season after a successful four-year playing career at fellow Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) school Chatham.

During his time with the Cougars, he played catcher, first base and pitcher and was honored as a second-team All-PAC designated hitter following his sophomore season. Cote etched his name in the Cougar record books by setting the career saves record with nine, five of which came in his 2024 junior campaign.

He was also part of the first winning season in program history in 2023.

He graduated from Chatham with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Data Analytics.

Away from NCAA competition, Cote was named 2023 Johnstown Collegiate Summer Ball League MVP, Rookie of the Year and batting champion. He also won an AAABA title with the team from Mainline Pharmacy. Â

Cote is a 2021 graduate of North Hills High School in Pittsburgh.
