Will Alexander

Will Alexander joined the Waynesburg University football coaching staff after coaching running backs and tight ends, as well as serving as the Director of Football Operations at NCAA Division II member Clarion, his alma mater, in 2025. While there, Alexander coached second team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division running back Khalon Simmons. The Golden Eagles finished with the program's first winning record (6-5) since 2015 and led the PSAC in total offense.

He also spent the first part of 2025 as the co-offensive coordinator/QBs/RBs Coach with the Orebro Black Knights of Sweden’s Superserien league. The Black Knights made their first semifinal appearance since 2022 and had the second ranked offense in the league in both total offense and points per game. He also coached Best Running Back Award winner Jakub Brezina, and Best Quarterback Award nominee Viktor Ekberg.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Alexander spent four years at NCAA Division I member Elon as a quarterback for the Phoenix. He transferred to Clarion prior to the 2022 season, during which he started three of the six games in which he appeared. He made five appearances under center in his second-and-final season with the Golden Eagles. After graduating, Alexander played professionally overseas as the quarterback for the Gijon Mariners in Spain's top division.

He earned his degree from Elon while majoring in Political Science and Economics, before earning his MBA at Clarion.

Alexander was a standout signal caller at Centennial High School in Bakersfield, Calif., where he was a two-time honorable mention all-area pick, and twice earned second-team SWYL honors. He also participated in the U.S. Army All-Star Arena Bowl.

This year, he will work with the Yellow Jacket wide receivers and serve as the team’s Operations Coordinator.
