Senior baseball player Jonathon Kletzli led the Jackets in hits (14), RBI (9), batting average (.438), slugging (.688) and doubles (6) during Waynesburg's run at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Arguably his biggest hit of the trip was his eighth-inning RBI double that plated the eventual game-winning run in an 8-7 victory over Cabrini Friday. After leading Waynesburg to a 5-4 record, he was named the first PAC Hitter of the Week for 2017.
