Graduate student Nijon Kirkman averaged 20.5 points and 13.5 rebounds over a pair of PAC playoff games this past week. He led the Yellow Jackets to a 60-59 upset win over Geneva on Tuesday. He knocked down the two game-deciding free throws with his team trailing 59-58 as part of a season-high 28-point performance. He also dominated the glass to the tune of a game-high 17 rebounds, nine of which were of the offensive variety. Kirkman followed that up with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in a near upset of top-seeded Washington & Jefferson, which went on to win this year’s title.
