Valle-Smith tallied eight tackles, four of which were solo stops, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets whittled a 33-7 halftime deficit down to 33-28 as the two teams battled through the third and fourth quarters. The fumble Valle-Smith forced was recovered by fellow senior Monroe Mohler (Union, W.Va. / James Monroe) and set up the offense for an 80-yard touchdown drive.
