WAYNESBURG (Oct. 17) – Despite allowing only one first-half goal, the Waynesburg University women's soccer team fell to Westminster College by a 5-0 count on Tuesday evening in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
The loss drops the Yellow Jackets to 7-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league play, while the Titans improve to 11-3-2 and 4-0 in conference play.
Waynesburg limited Westminster, who entered play as the second-highest scoring team in the conference, to just one tally in the first half despite 15 shot attempts by the Titans. In the second half, however, the constant offensive attack led to four Westminster goals.

Amy Mills kept it a one-goal difference the remainder of the first half with six saves in the opening 45 minutes of play.
Westminster expanded its lead to 3-0 in the opening minutes of the second period when senior Brittany McKee scored on a penalty kick and Adams registered her second goal of the evening. The Titans added insurance goals later in the frame from junior Jessi Losteter and freshman Kristen Kajari to finish with a 5-0 victory.
Mills finished the game with seven saves on 22 shot attempts, while sophomore goalies Lindsey Mellott and Christine Clawges shared the shutout for Westminster.
Waynesburg returns to action with a road conference game this weekend on Saturday, Sept. 20, when it faces Thomas More College. The game will be played on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
