Box Score

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 13) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 lead and never looked back as they beat visiting Chatham 4-1 for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win on Tuesday night.

Sophomore forward Courtney Ebersole scored her seventh and eighth goals of the season in the victory for the Yellow Jackets (5-8, 1-2), with the first tally breaking up a 0-0 tie in the first half.

The Jackets made it 2-0 just before halftime when junior Sarah Spicuzza found the back of the net. Senior Katie Gaspich made it 3-0 just four minutes into the second half and Ebersole ended the Waynesburg scoring with just over 26 minutes to go in the contest.

Chatham (4-7, 1-3) scored their only goal of the night with six and a half minutes remaining on the clock and it came off the foot of Ashley Kostial.

Sophomore keeper Katrina Kelly got the start in net for Waynesburg and worked 71 minutes of shutout soccer. She made one save on the night as the Jacket defense did a stellar job against the Cougar attack.

Waynesburg is off until Saturday, Oct. 17, when they travel to Grove City for another PAC contest.
