WAYNESBURG, Pa. (March 24) – The Waynesburg men's tennis team ran into a powerful Grove City team on Tuesday and dropped a 9-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Wolverines.
The Yellow Jackets dropped to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in the PAC. The Wolverines improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference action.
Senior Kevin Houseknecht and junior Jeff Canning nearly got the day started with a win at number-one doubles, but dropped a tough 9-8 (3) match to Kyle Johnson and John Moyer of GCC.
Waynesburg returns to action on Thursday, March 26, when they travel to West Virginia to take on Fairmont State.
