ALTOONA, Pa. (Sept. 16) – Despite not attempting a shot over 110 minutes, the Waynesburg University women's soccer team extended their undefeated streak to five games after earning a 0-0 double overtime tie at undefeated Penn State Altoona on Thursday.
Junior goalkeeper Katrina Kelly took the Yellow Jackets (4-2-2) on her back and stopped all 13 of Penn State Altoona's shots on goal. It was the second-straight shutout for Kelly, who also helped the Jackets beat Pitt-Greensburg 4-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Altoona out-shot Waynesburg 24-0 on the night and had 16 corner kicks, while the Jackets didn't attempt a corner kick on the night.
The Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 22, when they host Muskingum at John F. Wiley Stadium.
