DEFIANCE, Ohio (Sept. 3) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team put together a strong defensive performance on Friday, but couldn't get enough offense to pull out a win against Greenville at the DC Classic Tournament hosted by Defiance College.
The Panthers scored the only goal of the game just less than 30 minutes into the contest, despite a fine performance from goalkeeper Ryan Hunsberger. The senior net minder made seven saves over 90 minutes of play.
Erick Burke took five of the 13 shots Waynesburg (0-2) attempted.
The Yellow Jackets return to the field at Defiance tomorrow when they face off with Yellow Jackets of Defiance.
