ERIE, Pa. (Feb. 19) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team opened the 2011 spring season on Saturday at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. The Lions handed the Yellow Jackets an 8-1 loss on the road.
The Jackets' (0-1) only win came courtesy of sophomore Jon Anderson, who picked up a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Chris Tilman at fourth singles.
After competing in their season opener, the Yellow Jackets will take more than a month off before returning to competition on March 23. Waynesburg will travel to Ohio to take on Marietta. The match is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m.
