Men's tennis drops home match to Frostburg State

Bobcats take 8-0 match from Yellow Jackets

Box Score

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 5) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team hosted Frostburg State on Tuesday and got most of their match in before driving snow shortened the final singles match of the day.

The Bobcats (1-5) downed the host Yellow Jackets (2-4) by the final score of 8-0. The fourth singles contest between Waynesburg sophomore Jon Anderson and Frostburg State's Matt Mansfield ended in the third-and-deciding set. Mansfield took set one 6-2, before Anderson fired back with the Jackets' only victorious set, which came by the score of 6-2. The third-and-deciding set went to tie-breaker before snow forced them off the court.

Waynesburg is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, when they face a road trip to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Thomas More. The match is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m.
