Men's tennis falls at Bethany

Anderson goes 2-0 during 6-3 setback against Bison

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 10) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team saw its modest two-match winning streak come to an end on Tuesday during a 6-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss at Bethany.
 
Junior Jon Anderson was the top performer for the Yellow Jackets (2-6, 1-4), as he went 2-0 on the afternoon. He scored a 6-2, 6-4 win at fourth singles and teamed up with senior Peter Mally to pick an 8-5 victory at second doubles. Waynesburg's only other victory on the day came courtesy of senior Jason Logan, who won in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) at fifth singles.
 
With the win, Bethany moved to .500 overall for the season (4-4) and improved to 1-3 in PAC play. Waynesburg will try to start a new winning streak on Saturday, April 14, when the Thomas More Saints come to town for a conference match. Start time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
