WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 6) – Saturday's warm, sunny skies made a perfect setting for the Waynesburg men's tennis team's senior day match against Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Westminster. The Yellow Jackets celebrated in style by winning a 6-3 decision over the Titans, and senior Jon Anderson made program history by becoming Waynesburg's all-time singles wins leader.

The Jackets (6-3, 3-0) got off to a quick start by claiming victory in two of the day's three doubles matches. The sophomore pair of Isaiah Cochran and Colin Phillips got the ball rolling with an 8-2 win at first doubles. The match at the number-two doubles slot provided a lot more drama, as Anderson and sophomore Philip Littlejohn fought tooth-and-nail with Brad Thomas and Mike Matisi. When the smoke finally cleared, The Jacket twosome pulled out a 9-8 victory.

The home team kept things going in singles competition as Cochran, Littlejohn and Anderson swept the first, second and third flights. While Cochran and Anderson took their respective matches in straight sets, Littlejohn needed a little more work to put away Sean Black. The second-year starter was finally able to seal up the victory after downing Black 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Anderson's record-breaking win gives him 32 for his Jacket career.

The Titans (2-13, 2-4) picked up wins at fourth at fifth singles, but Waynesburg ended senior day on a winning note thanks to freshman Zack Graham, who won his first collegiate singles match by a 6-1, 6-4 final. Graham's triumph wrapped up the Jackets' third-straight win overall.

Waynesburg will look for its fourth-straight win on Tuesday, April 9, when the number-one team in the PAC, Saint Vincent, comes to town for a 3 p.m. match.
