WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 28) - The Waynesburg University women's soccer team brought a two-game winning streak entering Saturday's contest against the University of Mount Union. Unfortunately for the Jackets (3-4), they couldn't keep the winning going and dropped a 2-0 decision to a tough Purple Raiders (7-2-1) squad at John F. Wiley Stadium.

Mount Union got the only goal it needed when Shannon Evans scored off a deflection in the 13
th minute to give Mount Union a 1-0 lead. The visiting team tacked on an insurance goal in the 81
st minute when Allison Fouss tallied a breakaway goal to bring about the 2-0 final score.

Waynesburg will try to get back on the winning track when it hosts Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday, October 1, for the final tune-up game before Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play starts later in the week. Start time is set for 6 p.m. at John F. Wiley Stadium.
