BEREA, Ohio (Nov. 26) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team traveled to Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday to take on the Yellow Jackets. The visiting team fell behind early and never recovered during a 74-38 loss.
Waynesburg (2-2) gave up a 9-0 run to open the game that eventually turned into a 35-9 halftime deficit. The Orange and Black played better in the second half, being outscored by just 10 points over the final 20 minutes.
A bright spot for Waynesburg was the continued strong play of freshman forward
Addy Knetzer, who went six-for-10 from the field and scored a team-high 12 points. The first-year standout also pulled down a squad-best seven rebounds.
Waynesburg returns to action on Monday, Dec. 1, when it takes on Allegheny College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
