NEW CONCORD, Ohio (April 22) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team ended its 2014 regular season by traveling to Muskingum University on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets wrapped up its schedule with a second-straight win after downing the Muskies 8-1.

Waynesburg (3-8) got off to a fast start by sweeping the day's three doubles contests. Junior Isaiah Cochran teamed up with freshman Timothy Harris to score an 8-4 victory at the number-one spot. The junior tandem of Philip Littlejohn and Colin Philips followed with an 8-1 win at second doubles, before freshmen Caleb Gaumer and James Manges completed the sweep by downing their opponents 8-4.

The Muskies (0-11) picked up their only win of the day at first singles to avoid the shutout. Harris, Littlejohn, Philips and Manges all completed 2-0 efforts with straight-set singles victories, while freshman Mitchell Ross won his number-five singles match in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).
