Waynesburg (1-6, 0-4) picked up its first win of the day at second doubles, where juniors
Philip Littlejohn and
Colin Phillips scored an 8-4 victory. The Jackets had a real shot at winning two-of-three doubles flights after the number-one pair of junior
Isaiah Cochran and freshman
Timothy Harris dropped an 8-6 final.
Littlejohn completed a 2-0 day after picking up a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at number-three singles. The Orange and Black's scoring was completed by Harris, who rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the number-two singles flight.
Waynesburg returns to action on Tuesday, April 8, when Washington & Jefferson comes to town for a PAC showdown. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
