WASHINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 13) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team squared off with Washington & Jefferson for a Tuesday night Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Presidents by a 3-0 final score.
W&J (11-8, 6-5) took the match by the set scores of 25-18, 25-9 and 25-20. Waynesburg (3-21, 3-10) was led by junior
Shannon Morgan, who put down a team-high eight kills in the loss. Freshman
Sydni Ayers racked up a match-high 21 assists, while senior
Jessica Dorazio paced the Jacket defense with a squad-best 18 digs.
Waynesburg returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 15, when it travels to Grove City for a 3 p.m. tri-match. The Jackets are scheduled to face the host Wolverines first, before playing Penn State Altoona at 5 p.m.
