PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 8) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team traveled to Chatham University on Thursday night for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) tri-match. The Yellow Jackets dropped a 3-0 final score to Thomas More, before bouncing back with a 3-0 sweep of the host Cougars.
The Jackets (3-18, 3-9) fell to the Saints (11-3, 10-0) by the set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-11. The Orange and Black bounced back by sweeping Chatham (1-20, 0-11) 25-21, 25-12, 25-11.
The Waynesburg offense was led by senior
Kourtney Skinner, who put down a team-high 2.67 kills per set over the split. Freshman
Sydni Ayers backed up the Jacket attack with 4.83 assists per set. Senior
Jessica Dorazio led her team with 5.50 digs per set.
The Yellow Jackets return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 10, with another road doubleheader. Waynesburg travels to Kenyon in Gambier, Ohio, and will face the host Ladies at 2 p.m. They wrap up their day with a 4 p.m. contest against Mount Vernon Nazarene.
